More Government Waste – Census Advertising.

It started with the Super Bowl and the government continues to spend a ton of money promoting the 2010 Census. In today’s World, the U.S. Government doesn’t have the waste the money to produce and run TV & radio ads that the news stations and Internet sites could promote for free.

The President could just add a “Census Promotion” to one of his televised speeches and save all the money wasted promoting the Census. I heard a help wanted radio ad for the census telling people to apply for a job at the census. It seems to me that all the people collecting unemployment could get that message in their next unemployment check telling them the Government has a job for them at the Census.

The final straw for me was when I received the one page letter in the mail that informs me that I will receive a 2010 Census in the Mail in about a week. Did they really need to waste all the envelopes, ink and paper to deliver a letter to tell me that they will be sending another letter in the mail?
