Obama-Care passed another perilous milestone Saturday evening when — on a strictly partisan vote (without one Republican supporting the measure) — the Senate voted to bring H.R. 3590, the federal takeover of U.S. health care, to the floor for amendment and debate.

President Obama’s job approval numbers will dip below 50% for the first time today in Gallup’s daily tracking poll, according to a Gallup official.
“Gallup Daily tracking results just in. Obama will be below 50% for the first time when we update our numbers at 1:00 p.m.,” wrote Gallup.com managing news editor Lymari Morales on Twitter.
His approval numbers have bounced down to the 50% mark several times, driven by weaker support from independents and Republicans, but hadn’t crossed it.

Guess what? It turns out the Chinese are kind of curious about how President Barack Obama’s healthcare reform plans would impact America’s huge fiscal deficit. Government officials are using his Asian trip as an opportunity to ask the White House questions. Detailed questions.
Boilerplate assurances that America won’t default on its debt or inflate the shortfall away are apparently not cutting it. Nor should they, when one owns nearly $2 trillion in assets denominated in the currency of a country about to double its national debt over the next decade.

I am pro-life by conviction. Anyone who knows me very well or has followed my ministry will verify that fact. In 2006, I helped to register and educate concerned Christians on a stem-cell initiative in Missouri and a ballot question banning most abortions in South Dakota.
Still, I must say, I’m dismayed by the success of the right-to-life movement in passing the Stupak Amendment, which gave pro-life Democrats cover to vote for nationalized health care, which in turn passed the House of Representatives by a 3-vote margin on Saturday evening.

Now that the US Congress has Voted to PASS the Health Care Bill, Americans will have their turn to vote for congress and “We the People” will have a chance to VOTE THEM OUT during the next election. Health care reform should not be used as an opportunity to use federal funds to pay for elective abortions. Health reform should be an opportunity to protect human life – not end it.
Unfortunately, Speaker Pelosi’s 2,032-page government takeover of health care does just that. On line 17, p. 110, section 222 under “Abortions for which Public Funding is Allowed” the Health and Human Services Secretary is given the authority to determine when abortion is allowed under the government-run plan. The Speaker’s plan also requires that at least one insurance plan offered in the Exchange covers abortions.

Here’s my story, I am a small business owner in Massachusetts. I “had” Commonwealth Care health insurance that I was paying for myself through my business. After paying last years taxes I received a notice from Massachusetts that my family now has free health care – “Mass Health” for everyone.
